HGTV’s 2013 Smart Home kitchen features these great pendants in chrome and white glass. They fit in beautifully with the pale turquoise white design.

Glass and metal lanterns work well in traditional kitchens. These oversized lanterns are especially appealing with their intricate metal detailing and “candelabra” style lights.

In this contemporary kitchen, a modern pendant light brings in an updated shape and color. The pop of bright orange looks great with an otherwise neutral color palette.

From totally contemporary we turn to a traditional space with vintage or vintage reproduction lighting over the large work island. This metal fixture is a brilliant design choice for the room.

A pure white kitchen with substantial architectural details deserves grand lighting and this exquisite chandelier certainly fits into that category of lights.

With a fresh take on an old favorite, this trio of bell jar pendant lights is a beautiful addition to this stylish kitchen with chunky marble-topped island.

Buffet lamps in the kitchen? What a creative lighting idea that makes this kitchen feel like a “real room” for living rather than simply a space for meal prep.

Clusters of glass pendants with thick black cords light this contemporary kitchen in a rustic industrial environment—a great mix of modern and industrial style.
