Remodel of the year from Seattle

National Association of Home Builders decided that Seattle house is the top remodelling of 2014 according to American Living Awards.

This old house is dated to 1920s. Interior designers changed dark spaces to open and light, and updating systems that’s basic for old houses.

The owner wisely decided to keep the architecture as it was and to fresh up the rooms.

DeForest Architects worked with this project. NB Design Group designed the inner space.

The house is now looking charming and elegant.

My opinion starts here. I like that the view from the bedroom is the focal point in the interior design. The room has no curtains but the comfort is felt even looking at the photo. To keep the touch of 1920s the furniture stays in its original brown color. The interior is natural in quality and look.

Black frame of the windows and doors make this house look modern. I am surprised that the architecture of 20s looked so interesting. It looks harmonious and beautiful.
