Mirrors – Decorating Tips for Comfort – MessageNote

Our houses are full of mirrors. They are everywhere: starting from small mirrors in women’s bags and ending with big mirrors in the living room.

Why do we need them? Yes, just to see how good we are)

But, to tell the truth, they are the most powerful items to create comfortable atmosphere in your house.

Practitioners use mirrors as a magical tool.

In this post you will learn basic rules about how to improve your life with the help of the simple object, that all of you use and have – mirror!

Lets see what professionals advise us.

General Tips:

  • Mirror is water element

The origin comes from us looking our reflection in the water.

It is better to place it in Southeast, North and East.

The mirror will improve health and family in the East, wealth in the Southeast and career in the North.

Do not place the mirror in the South, because this direction goes for Fire element.

Water is bad for fire.

  • Houses should be of square shape for comfortable living

But nothing is ideal in this world, so practitioners advise to place mirror on the wall, where your house misses a corner.

As a result, there would be visual square as it should be.

big mirror reflects the sky

Large mirror reflects the sky

  • Mirror doubles what it sees

If the mirror reflects your dinner table, nature in the window or jewelery on your table it is good.

Mirror that reflects good things will duplicate them, so you will have a lot of food, jewelery or other object that it reflects.

  • Big mirrors

You should place the mirror, so that the person in the mirror should be reflected completely.

You should see your legs, body, head and some space above the head.

This space is responsible for your progress.

Taboo for mirrors:

  • Do not place a mirror in your bedroom

Guess why? It will duplicate your relations.

It might happen that other person will appear in your life or in the life of your love.

If you already have such mirror in your bedroom, then try to close it when you sleep, or place it in such a way, so that it won’t reflect your bed.

  • Do not hang a mirror opposite your entrance door

Energy enters your house threw the doors and windows, so be careful.

Don’t place mirrors opposite the entrance door, because good energy will be reflected and won’t come to your house as should be.

  • Say “No” for mirrors reflecting toilet or bathroom

As we discussed before, in these places energy flows out.

Mirror duplicates all it sees, so do not place it opposite toilet and bathroom or you will have twice more flowing out of energy.

  • “Yes” for mirrors on the toilet and bathroom doors

It will help to hide bad energy that is located in toilet and bathroom.

But you should place the mirror on the backside of the door.

Mirror should reflect your house inside, but not reflect toilet inside.

  • Do not use mirrored tile

The tile will visually divide and cut the person, and this is not good.

Such situation can lead to bad health and uncomfortable feeling when you look in the mirrored tiles.

  1. Hi,
I live in an apartment, as I enter my main door, I have a tiny lobby. In front of my main door I have a tilled mirror (which is just 3 feet from the main door). On Left is my bathroom and right I have another door which leads to my living room. This tinny lobby has a false celling (low celling). Outside my main I have these drains (pipes) on right side of my main door and on left side to my main door I have boilers but covered with wooden doors. And just above my main door I have gas meters installed for my flat and flat opposite my flat (meters are also covered in huge wooden box; which is just above my main door).
I am very worried if these things are hindering the opssite energy entering my flat.
    Please advice.

    Thanks,

  2. Our ground floor house is at an elevated level. The house is South East facing. My bedroom is next to the living room, both in front of the house and above the basement room. The living room, in the East, faces the garden. My room, in the South, faces the gate on one side (with a tall window close to the South corner) and the drive on the other (with 2 windows – both tall, but one wide as well). The main entrance to the house is from the drive. As you enter the house, my room is to the right. My room door faces a large full-length mirror inside my room. When you enter the cupboards are to your left, and the large mirror in front of you. It has a beautiful dusted gold frame. I dont want to remove it because its fits perfectly and matches my room decor. My room is not a regular rectangle. Just behind this mirror is the bathroom mirror which reflects the shower area completely. So my cupboards, these mirrors and the bathroom are in the front and middle of the house, the South East. My bed is on the right of my bedroom door. So one side of the bed is parallel to the cuboards (and the bathroom door up ahead). The other side (of my bed) is parallel to the window facing the drive. When I lie on the bed, I face the wall with tall window towards the South corner. The wall behind my head is tiled with brushed silver & bronze coloured wall tiles. All other walls are off white. I will be installing a gallery picture hanging system (a very slim pelmet) on this tiled wall as I cannot drill holes in it to hang pictures. Behind this wall is the staircase and a small room for the house help. I do not want to remove the moirror facing the bedroom door, and behind the bathroom mirror. What remedies can I use?

  3. I must add that when I stand with my back to the mirror, on my left 4feet away is the main entrance, followed by a wall-mounted TV. On my right are the glass walls of my living room. Opposite me is the door to my grandmother’s bedroom – Cannot see her bed. Can see her window which overlooks a beautiful lawn behind the house but is mostly closed with wooden blinds.

  4. When you enter our house, to the right is a bathroom which is also under the stairs. Across the front door ia just a wall of a short hallway. What can i do to remedy the bathroom situation?

  5. Am bit confused. Placing a mirror in a certain direction means actually placing it in that direction ? OR Placing it opposite so it can reflect the said direction ?

    Please Help

  6. My house is facing south. I have a big mirror above the fire place which is on the east side of the house. I heard that you are not supposed to put mirror above the fireplace. So it is ok for me to move the big mirror to opposite side of the fireplace? So when I open the front entrance door, the big mirror will be on the left side of the wall. The door swing open to the left. the mirror is on the left side of the wall and will be facing the fire place. Mirror is water element and facing fire. Is this ok. I can’t put mirror above fire place. But can I put mirror opposite of the fire place? But if I do put mirror opposite of the fire place, the mirror will be on the west side? I also learn that mirror should be placed on East, Southeast and North side. By putting the big mirror on left side of the entrance door, is it okay. I am very confused. Please advise.

  7. hi,

Just before you go upstairs there is a transparent cube-glass window in front of the stairs then I have placed antic mirror on the second floor just in front of the stairs.

    Is it bad?

    Thank you.

  8. hi, we are transferring into a new house, after reading all this, we do not know now where to put our mirror.
    1. can not place mirror facing the main door (hoping to make our living room bigger)
    2. can not place mirror slightly reflecting the stairway and its facing the window (hoping to reflect the outside and natural light)
    3. can not place also beside the window, its a south wall
    4. and lastly, can not place it in the wall of the main door (north), also it could be perfect, because its besides the window, but it will be over the sofa.

Pls.help us, we dont know where to put our mirror, that we can use before going out.
    thanks in advance, more power…
