Feng Shui your car with Erin May

clean mercedes car blue colorI saw the story of the woman about her car and how Erin May – her feng shui consultant helped her! So, here is the story…

The Problem

I’m not too proud to beg. I know I need help. I drive a cluttered car. It makes frequent stops at garage sales. I’m surrounded by frisbees, granola bars, umbrellas, tape cassettes and an air freshener that lost its scent long ago. The clutter is not the kids’ fault because they usually travel with their dad in the van. Occasionally, I need to clear stuff off the seat so a passenger can jump in.

American Feng Shui Institute in CA starts courses in October

What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is the study of how the environment affects those who dwell in it. It literally means Wind and Water, Feng shui can help you determine the best home to live in, which colors can help enhance your home4 the best bed direction for deep sleep, and how to change you business or home into a center of power and harmony. Feng shui can improve your health, relationships and prosperity.
It is based on a complex scientific calculation, rather than a metaphysical reading relying on inspiration and intuition. We live on the planet that is filled with different energies. Our planet rotates on its axis, creating cycles and is subjected to other forces in the Universe. These physical forces and many different time cycles affect us profoundly. The Chinese have spent centuries observing the effects of these forces and learning how to better harmonize humans with the environment. This is the Science of Feng Shui.

Furniture Arrangement with Feng Shui

black-vase-red-wooden-table-blue-wallThere’s a growing trend in interior design in which furniture arrangement is the biggest change in a room, while making it look as if it’s been remodeled. It’s certainly a budget arrangement, because it doesn’t cost anything to move furniture around. A poorly arranged room can go from blah to beautiful if the furniture arrangement gives the room a good flow and sense of purpose.

Look around the room you’re dissatisfied with

Now walk out of the room and walk back in, paying attention to the things you notice first. Where are your eyes drawn when you walk in? If the things you notice aren’t the things you want to notice, then you’re due for some feng shui style furniture arrangement.

Feng Shui Education Tower

Maneki Neko

Japan may be one of the world’s most technologically advanced countries. But just like so many other places in the world, there’s still plenty of odd ideas. Here’s a list of some basic superstitions you’ll want to keep in mind for the next time you visit Japan.

Good cat, bad cat.

Thanks to Western culture, black cats are considered bad in Japan. But did you know that the Japanese also have a good cat?
