1) We have recently had our house renovated and since moving back in, I have noticed an unhappy feeling. I wondered what we could do to enhance this. I started reading about Feng Shui and thought the fact that we have 2 mirrors in our bedroom might not help. What feng shui principles can be applied to improve the bedroom? Are mirrors are no-no?

Ok, let’s suppose that you invited a Feng Shui specialist. In your case, he would calculate auspicious dates for starting renovation, he would also take the birth dates of the family to analyze what colors are best for your house, directions that will give you positive changes, and he would analyze the surroundings of your house. These are basic actions Feng shui specialist would do. So, as a result you can have unhappy feeling because the renovation was done during inauspicious dates or new colors in your room don’t fit your family’s energy. It is hard to analyze what exactly changed your feeling, but you can try to follow first 4 Feng Shui steps “How to Feng Shui” on MessageNote. They are basic, but can help you a lot if to Feng Shui by yourself. Regarding mirrors, you were right, they are not good when placed in a bedroom. It’s better to place them in the kitchen or living room, so that they will reflect something beautiful (nature) or something that you want to double (food, money, etc).

2) Speaking of mirrors, how can we use mirrors in our house to our advantage?

Mirrors should be used carefully, because they reflect and duplicate all you have: good and bad things. In a few words, if the mirror reflects your dinner table, nature in the window, and jewellery on your table it is good Feng Shui. Mirror that reflects good things will duplicate them, so you will have a lot of food, jewellery or other object it reflects. Don’t place mirrors opposite entrance door, because good energy will be reflected and won’t come to your house as should be. I have the article that describes all tips in details “Feng Shui mirror tips”.

3) How can one ensure that good chi runs into the house? My house has a straight hallway that leads up to the bathroom, the living area is on the left – we do not have any pictures or mirrors, or anything in the entrance, and I have a feeling the chi isn’t getting in. What can we do to the entrance of the house to improve this?

You can just imagine that you are the guest in your house. Is it easy for you to find the entrance to your house? What do you feel when you enter? Do you feel that you want to move further or you are stopped with the bathroom door? In the end, you should summarize what gave you the negative feeling and what do you feel would change it to positive. You can Feng Shui basing on intuition. If your intuition is great, you can feel what you need and as a result your house would be comfortable and full of luck:)

4) Are there any Feng Shui principles to help a baby sleep in their room?

Put the baby’s room in a good location. Don’t place the baby’s room over a garage. The room also shouldn’t be located near excessive noise that might disturb the baby. For example, a living room where the TV is on, or close to a noisy street or neighbor. Don’t place the bed against a window and it shouldn’t be directly in line with the door. The bed shouldn’t be placed against a wall that is shared with a bathroom, toilet, storage, or utility-type room. Nothing at all should be underneath the crib. A small air filter can be placed to ensure clean crisp air 24/7. I am sure, you have much more ideas to make the room of your baby THE BEST.

5) What are common traps in the modern home that are bad feng shui?

People forget about natural elements. They don’t place plants at home, small fountains or pretty things that remind them what gives them happiness in this life. Such homes are cold and need warming up. Harmonize where you live, because most of your time you are at home, at your sweet home:)

6) What are your recommended suggestions for somebody wanting to enhance their Feng Shui in their home really quickly?

Enter your house as if you are a guest. Feel what you don’t like and what you want to enhance.

The house shouldn’t have mirrors in a bedroom, or reflecting the door. You should also remove all clutter and organize the space. Those are easy and quick steps to feel free and insired to move further to comfortable living.

7) What is the biggest mistake people make with their homes that brings them bad energy?

I can’t say about the biggest mistakes, but people often try to start practicing Feng Shui staying in cluttered room. Number 1 rule – no clutter! Feng shui is a complex of actions to improve the living, so step by step improvement of the house will show good results. You need to have patience.

8) How can changing your house to meet the Feng Shui principles change your life?

You will feel happy and free:) It changes your mood, you start smiling and feeling happy all the time. You smile to life and life starts smiling to you. Life changes where you want it to change. Feng shui is organization of your life and desires. Dreams come true.
